    Clean ingredients, great taste!

    Rhovive hit all of my checkmarks as a breastfeeding mom living in the heat of South Florida! The electrolytes are more balanced than competitors and not overly sweet like many other brands. I'm a little obsessed with the Raspberry flavor! I love that a cleaner salt is also used. It's so refreshing to have an ice-cold Raspberry electrolyte drink after chasing my toddler around in the heat, or to start my morning off with replenishing my hydration after a long morning nursing session with my newborn! I'm also one to practice fasting and don't like to eat too late in the day, but it has been tricky to stay hydrated for breastfeeding while not consuming too many calories. Well with only 5 calories, I can rehydrate with Rhovive without breaking my fast! That fact alone is one of my favorite things about Rhovive, other than the superior taste and quality of course. I also really like that it is a tub instead of a single packet. That makes it easier to customize your drink and your liking.     I've been drinking this daily for the last several weeks while at work. I really like the flavor and it helps me drink more water than I would otherwise. The powder dissolves well in the water, though I end up shaking it up again out of habit. One thing I really appreciate is that it doesn't make my water bottle slimy after use, an issue I've had with other powders. To me this signals cleaner ingredients and I think it's healthier. I feel more hydrated on days that I drink it than on days that I don't.

    Overall I would say that this electrolyte replacement is pretty serious stuff and I appreciate their ingredients. It is also very effective for the size. While I haven't noticed a serious increase in energy or recovery compared to other brands, I only have used this for regular 5ks and workouts.However, the reason it is 3 stars is the taste. Good lord is it the worst I've tasted by a significant margin, just heavy on salt and chalk. The berry taste is faint and artificial - I think I would prefer it without a flavor and just imagine it's a salt mouthwash.

    Great electrolyte drink very tasty and mixes well without too much mixing. Dissolves pretty quick unfortunately the only issue I had was some of the top part may have hardened up a little bit too a couple of clumps. It was only a little bit of the top part but after that no issues at all. I drink it twice a day and i really do feel the hydration instead of just drinking plain water and again the taste is one of my favorites!

    (Note: This review has been updated to reflect 2 months use.)I'm comparing this rhovive electrolyte product (after exercising) against my current go to product. I have a shaker cup which makes it easy to blend 12 oz. water with 1 scoop of rhovive. Just shake and voila, the powder dissolves nicely. The taste is very similar to my normal product, as is the consistency. I'm seriously considering buying this product again because of its affordability. It costs half as much as my regular product. The ingredients equal out health-wise. The relatively low sodium content may benefit those engaging in light exercise in outdoor summertime heat, or any activity that induces perspiration. As for my go to product, it has much more salt, so it's better for heavy workouts. Now, I can mix it up and save money. As stated, after two months of periodic use, I'm seriously considering this product as an alternative to my go to.

  • This would be good if you are serious about salt replacement

    The packaging on this product is very nice. It has a very nice smell to it, and the berry part of the flavor is great. It says in the instructions that you have to play around with how much to use, and this is very true. 1 scoop is about the size of a dime, so this container will go a long way. For me, though, the salt flavor is just too much. It is not something you will drink just for enjoyment. In order to dilute it enough for just casual drinking, there was no berry flavor left. So if you're looking for some serious electrolyte replacement, then this might be the one for you.

    This review is for the Rhovive brand of electrolyte powder. Actually the contents of this small tub was not powder but rock hard clumps that refused to break up. From what I could tell the canister was not completely sealed, and the moisture that got in ruined the product. I had no choice but to throw it out as it was not in any sort of condition for consumption.

Is it salty?

A little, on purpose: you'll taste a hint of salt on the finish. Each scoop has 750mg of sodium. Verified buyer Destiny B. calls it “not too salty,” and a couple of reviewers found it too strong. If that's you, add more water: one scoop works in 12–32 oz. More water softens the salt and the flavor, so find your spot.

What does it taste like?

Refreshing first, lightly sweet, with just a hint of salt. Peach is soft peach with a crisp finish. Raspberry is bright raspberry with a crisp finish. Both use non-GMO natural flavor and have 0g sugar.

Does it have a stevia aftertaste?

It's built not to: our main sweetener is sugarcane Reb M, which tastes clean without stevia's bitter aftertaste. There's also stevia leaf extract, in a smaller amount (it's listed after Reb M on the label). If you're very sensitive to stevia, a little more water helps, and if it's still not for you, our 30-day guarantee covers it.
